Could something be added to explain how trade goods are produced by cities? Is each city simply assigned a trade good by its geography? Or is there some way to control what is produced? User:Endymon:Endymon
Capitol Surpluss/Export Confusion
This is currently written:
- Capital surplus - Surplus units in the capital province do not apply the above province surplus modifier. Instead, they apply a national modifier. These modifiers stack.
- Exportation - Surplus units can be used for exportation to other provinces via trade routes. When doing so, this modifier is applied to the exporting province (the importing province gets one of the other 3 modifiers depending on the good's surplus level).
Now I can understand where the confusion with "Capitol Surpluss does not also apply Provine Surpluss" comes from. Apparently the Province surpluss bonus only affects the Province Capitol Teritory, even if they do not explicitly say they are local. Basically it should be asuemd Local to the Province Capitol, unless it explicitly says Province (like the +400 Food Capacity from salt).
However the Export bonus is very verifiably a Nationwide bonus like the Capitol Surpluss one. I can show you a territory with 0 produced Vegetables to export, sitll getting both the "Capitol Surpluss" and "Export" bonuses of Vegeatables (-20% and -10% on Slave Movement, with a total of 3.5/Pop).
There might still be an issue with some stuff only updating at the end of month.
