Iberia is a solid and able regional power south of the Caucasian Caucasus mountain range, within the region of Caucasia. It shares borders with the nations of Flag of Colchis Colchis to the west (together with whom would become a basis for future Georgian nation) , Flag of Legia Legia to the north, Flag of Albania Albania to the east and the major power of Flag of Armenia Armenia to the southwest. Iberia begins in with a sizable population, twice as large as its neighbouring Flag of Colchis Colchis. Unlike Flag of Colchis Colchis however, large portion of population of which are citizens and freemen, Flag of Iberia Iberia's population is largely tribal and slaves, and is also relatively more diverse with Armenian and Albanian minorities present. Iberia's starting army consists of 2 cohorts of archers, 2 cohorts of heavy infantry and 2 cohorts of heavy Cavalry. Iberia in 450 AUC starts in a dire situation and with relatively limited options. First priority should be to have access to the sea routes and thus, annexation of Flag of Colchis Colchis is a must. Next step should be conquest of Flag of Albania Albania, a minor tribal state to the east. As both share the culture group with Iberians, local unrest should be relatively easy to manage. Be wary of Flag of Armenia Armenia from the south and seek stronger allies against them, their destruction should be a top priority. In this case, Alliance with the Flag of Seleukid Empire Seleukid Empire should be the best option if possible. After obliterating Flag of Armenia Armenia, there are two routes for the future development: Either to expand to Anatolian heartland and annex Persian-grouped provinces, or expand south-eastwards and form 20px Persia after defeating the Flag of Seleukid Empire Seleukid Empire. Either way however, after Flag of Armenia Armenia is annexed, things should be relatively easy to manage.

Flag of Iberia Iberia has a single unique country-specific decision as part of its unique event chain to improve its capital of Meschistha-Harmozike. The decision can be found in /ImperatorRome/game/decisions/iberia_decisions.txt.

Pharnavaz' Improvements

Pharnavaz have long had several ideas on how to improve the capital, and it is time to put them into motion now that he is in charge of Iberia. No longer will foreigners look at us as some backwater region, but with envy.

  • Save Pharnavaz Pharnavazid (29) as the pharnavaz target and the current capital as the pharnavaz capital target

  • If the game is ironman, the country is not AI-controlled, and the country is or started as Flag of Heraclea Pontica Heraclea Pontica, award the achievement Heraclea Persica
  • Country becomes 20px Persia
  • If the country's ruler is in the same family as Amastris Achaimenid (82), set the name and flag to Flag of Achaemenid Empire Achaemenid Empire
