Bithynia is a Local Power in the Region of Bithynia et Paphlagonia, controlling five territories in the provinces of Mariandynia and Bithynia Inferioris. Gaining independence under king Bas in 420 AVC, Bithynia is now under the thumb of the
Antigonid Kingdom. In 450 AVC it is under the rule of King Zipoetes I, son of the founder Bas, who in 301, after the defeat of the
Antigonid Kingdom attacked
Astakos and
Calchedon, destroying the city of Astakos in the progress; Zipoetes' son Nicomedes was then the main reason behind the foundation of
Galatia. The kingdom prospered, eventually being assimilated into
Rome in 680 AVC. Ingame, Bithynia is the largest of the northern client states of the
Antigonid Kingdom being capable of easily subduing its eastern neighbors of
Heraclea Pontica and
Mariandynia. It is dangerously close to
Thrace, which might puppet the local power in the Wars of the Diadochi.
Decisions[edit | edit source]
As a country in the Dacian culture group, Bithynia has access to the decision to form Dacia.
Form Dacia
Dacia; a land rich in resources, culture, and civilization, eyed jealously by greedy neighbors, belongs in the hands of its own people. It is high time that a strong leader emerged to challenge the status quo between fragmented tribes, uniting all Dacia under one banner!
